Are you curious about Cub Scouts? Is you son or daughter interested in joining? Do you have questions such as: What do Cub Scouts do? What is their mission? Or simply why are these boys and girls wearing those blue uniforms and who are they?
My name is Greg Nishanian and I’m the Pack 1484 CubMaster. I welcome you to the Pack 1484 site and hope you find it interesting, intriguing and useful. Pack 1484 was founded in 2005 and we are chartered by Our Savior’s Way Lutheran Church in Ashburn, VA. We meet every fourth Monday at the Mill Run Elementary School Cafeteria from 7:00 – 8:00 pm.
Pack 1484 Cub Scouts are a group of boys and girls, mainly from Mill Run Elementary School, who are curious about learning new things, helping the community, being outdoors, going on adventures and just having fun.
Our Pack is about 60 Scouts strong and we are active through the year. We camp in the fall and spring, hold our Pinewood Derby in winter, go to week long camps in the summer and a host of other activities. Additionally, we contribute to our community through community service projects such as Scouting for Food, beautifying our school, and stuffing backpacks for those in need.
Please feel free to reach out to me at tgnish@verizon.net, use this website to send us an email, or drop by the Mill Run Elementary school cafeteria on the 4th Monday of every month (except June, July, and August) from 7:00 – 8:00 pm and see what goes on at a pack meeting.
